Easter
"Hope isn't hope if you
can see it!
Who hopes for what they can
see?
But if we hope for what we
don't see,
we wait for it eagerly - but
also patiently."
(Romans 8 v24b-25)
There have been plenty of reasons to despair over the last year but the rollout of the vaccination programme in the UK, together with the roadmap for lifting lockdown has given us hope: Hope that we will be able to go ‘out and about’ once again. Hope that we will soon be able to see loved ones. Hope that life will soon start returning to some form of normality. Hope of a new beginning.
Hope is a resonant word - it means to ‘expect with confidence’. For Christians, Jesus death and resurrection gives us the unshakable hope of eternal life with God, of the ultimate end of suffering. The hope of a new beginning.
Please join us for our Easter services and discover more about why hope in Jesus changes everything.
